The past year we have been a rise in protests by refugees in the Netherlands. The demonstrations have ignited the critical discussion around the Dutch asylum policy. More and more people agree that this policy is inhumane.
At this meeting we will go into the consequences of current policy, the resistence to it and the possibily of change.
The speakers Jelle Klaas (lawyer social-economic human rights), Younes (refugee from the ‘Vluchtkerk’) and Sjerp van Wouden (student at the University of Amsterdam and activist involved in the ‘Vluchtkerk’) and each will tell their story based on their own perspective.
Organised by the International Socialists Student Organisation (ISSO) in cooperation with CREA debate.
